did ya’ know?

We missed National Go Barefoot Day, Donut Day, Do-Dah Day, VCR Day, Fudge Day, Garfield the Cat Day, Ugly Dog Day, and Let it Go Day?  Did you realize that these important holidays all fell during the month of June?  Were we just plain CRAZY not to celebrate Rootbeer Day and National Bomb Pop Day?!!

As an apology to all the BFF’s out there (I’m really sorry for missing National Best Friends Day on June 8th)…I’m extending a special offer!  Team up with your BFF for a photo session during the month of July or August, and you can split ONE session fee.  In addition, EACH of you will receive a $75 print credit towards your order.

So what are the details?  In order to receive this limited time offer, you must have your sessions held at the same location and at the same time.  Each family will be photographed exclusively, but will have the option to be photographed together.  A session fee of $150 must be prepaid immediately upon booking your session.

High School Seniors….this offer applies to you too!  :)

With all that good stuff in mind, I want to let you know that our schedule is pretty booked up in July and we only have two Saturdays available in August…so if you want to take advantage of this offer, don’t go off and wildly celebrate National Log Cabin Day today… give me a call first!

What’s your dream job?:  Dancing/performing for lots of money!

What’s your favorite “school lunch”? (mine was probably the Fiestadas….in case you were curious):  Turkey Gravy over mashed potatoes

Favorite high school memory (so far!)…: Homecoming!  When I made Homecoming Court as a junior.  And Football games!

Why do you LOVE “j. selander photography”….(no pressure)….:  I love that they’re open to anything you want!  They made me feel at ease with my pictures.  If you’re deciding to go here…DO!!!

a special wedding

I love our job.  I really, really do!  We have the opportunity to meet new people all the time, and inevitably, I become friends with all of them! :)

We had the opportunity to photograph this family last summer, so when they called to see if we could shoot their wedding, it felt like my best friend was getting married!  It was such a joy to be a part of it, and a real honor to document their special day.

an “A+” wedding

I’m not going to lie,  I 100% rate weddings by the food they serve at the reception.  I suppose I’ve got a slight food obsession.   ;)   My sister’s wedding was A-MAZ-ING!….they served the most delicious Chinese food!  This wedding…..equally as amazing, but served complete with a dessert buffet at the impressive Holland Center in dowtown Omaha!

And as a former elementary school teacher, I guess I feel the need to give grades!  Without a doubt, this shin-dig was an “A+”!  Not ONLY because of the food, but because of the wonderful people involved!

Okay…so I just had to post some shots from the day!  We weren’t the “main” photographers at the wedding…because we were IN the wedding, but we did capture some cute shots anyway!
